I don’t give a shit if “Reform denies rules were broken” because the rules are that u have to declare any gifts over £300 for 12 months prior to becoming an MP. So unless they’re saying the Times fabricated the entire story (they’re not), then the rules were very much broken. Denial is irrelevant.

Particularly galling as Starmer's front bench has many female cabinet ministers, the Home Secretary, Foreign Secretary, Education Secretary and Chancellor, Jess Phillips had a prominent role until she stepped down, see also Angela Rayner. Starmer cannot be accused of running a boys club.

Part of the problem is we don't do enough of them. So we lose skill sets. HS2 was also awarded on a cost plus basis so no incentive to control costs. A Fixed price contract would have been better. We need a dept for Long term projects.
