I think the Media misjudged the #SolidarityWithStarmer in the electorate. They believed their own hype. Which is the trouble with being in a bubble. People feel better off and can see money being invested in our Country. People are not mugs. They can see Starmer is decent and on their side.

One of the things we learned during our High Court case against Reform is its propensity, nakedly and without embarassment, to lie. Only the blissfully naive would take its explanation for this at face value.

Looks to me like it was IPSO who cited the privacy and harassment clauses when passing on a request for no contact from the media, not Mandelson's lawyers. The problem for Mandelson is that it is impossible for him to claim his situation doesn't meet the "justified in the public interest" exception.

The government is to offer better financial support for social work students! The changes aim to improve access & break down barriers into social work careers. It will ensure students receive targeted financial support where there is the greatest need, including those from low-income backgrounds.

Spot on Lewis. I also wonder about something Rory Bremner seemed to say on Sky News The Wrap a few days ago, which was that a Times front page saying Mandelson had got the post BEFORE it was announced had bounced them into announcing him. That struck me as odd and I haven't heard it anywhere else.
