🚨 Richard Tice avoided nearly £600,000 in tax. He was rightly asked: "Reform often spend a lot of time criticising the Westminster elite. Isn't using complex tax structures to reduce your tax bill, the exact type of thing that voters feel frustrated that members of the elite do?"

Lá Fhéile Pádraig sona daoibh from Warrington Irish Club! Happy St Patrick's Day 🇮🇪🍀 A pleasure every year to join such a vibrant celebration of Irish culture and heritage with the parade, and back to the club for music, dancing, food, donkey rides, a cheeky Guinness & blessing the shamrocks!

My first Parkrun milestone hit this morning! Big fan of my very unofficial commemorative badge from Orford Running Club 😂 Then off for a big hike for some hill miles in my legs as part of my marathon training. All donations gratefully received:

Busy day of surgeries and meetings, including with Culcheth residents, the Environment Agency & WBC; the ceremony for the Museum of Policing in Cheshire volunteers receiving the King's Award for Voluntary Service; and CLP. Lovely flowers at my office and rainbow outside brought extra smiles too ❤️

This was the hardest speech I've ever made, speaking about my own experiences of our justice system in opposition to my own party's proposals on courts. Very grateful for all of the gentle and kind responses, and hope I have given a voice to other survivors who feel as I do without my platform.

This result shows people want something different from the same old. We need to listen and act. At our best Labour is a voice for change, progress and hope but importantly, we deliver it. Labour can be a progressive force for good in every community. We need to prove ourselves like never before.

Took a detour on the way home from Westminster via Gorton and Denton for the polling day GOTV final push. Wet and grey weather, but the vibes were good with lots of doors knocked fuelled by campaign office samosas! Two hours til polls close, keeping everything crossed for the amazing Angeliki! 🌹🗳️❤️

Fun fact: video gaming as a sector is worth more to the UK economy every year than the music and film industries combined in GVA. Maybe it's not your thing, cool, whatever, but you definitely still benefit from the fact other people enjoy it as much as they do and being a snob about it is passé 🤷♀️

What better way to spend a day off than pitching in for the campaign effort to get the amazing Angeliki Stogia elected in Gorton & Denton! I went out on three door-knocking rounds in Denton this afternoon and the returns were positive, but the only poll that counts is polling day on Thursday! 🗳️🌹

I am, once again, banging my head against a wall and begging for MP staffing budgets to actually reflect the *thousands* of items of increasingly complex casework and correspondence that come through our offices every month so we can actually give our constituents the service they deserve.

Almost like... if we listened to women (both the victims, and also the senior women in the Government who could see from a mile off the inevitability of how the decision to appoint Mandelson - despite what we *already knew* at that point - would all pan out), we wouldn't be here.

Today is Holocaust Memorial Day, which marks the anniversary of the liberation of Auschwitz-Birkenau, the largest Nazi death camp. It is an opportunity for us to reflect on where prejudice and hatred left unchallenged ultimately leads, and to renew our commitment to building a better, safer future.

Warrington is in fact very sexy 😉💅 And we have the highest total economic growth of any city or large town since 2013 (and faster growth in living standards and disposable incomes too), as a model for how the rest of the country can be as sexy as us!

Local party members in Gorton and Denton must have the opportunity to select the strongest possible Labour candidate to take on Reform, and I hope the NEC take the decision to give Andy the chance to make his case to them without any procedural shenanigans to limit their choices.

I've been on the Radio 4's The World at One making this exact point today, and will be raising in the statement later today. The era of the Government prioritising X for comms is failing by any metric in getting our message out, but this should be a clear red line in and of itself. It's time to go.
