Retrospective removal of Indefinite Leave to Remain from "hundreds of thousands of people" in the Reform plans is obscene. They talk about "preventing disruption to businesses" but have no regard for what this means for the people themselves, their families and communities which will be torn apart.

Warrington Running Festival 10k in the bag this morning. I've still not cracked "enjoying a single minute of running" while I'm doing it, but am very pleased to have finished all the same and to be able to raise money for local good causes in the process! Well done to everyone who took part ๐ ๐

Given the context and the crowd, despite Muskโs weasel words, this was a call for violence against the British state, from a foreign national who controls a major propaganda engine, and has engineered it to monetise hate

It melts my head that X is still used for official Government communications, and, catching up on today's news and the fact we have a foreign billionaire inciting violence on our streets, it's clearer than ever that this should end. I raised this in Parliament last week ๐

As the region with the largest number of Labour seats to be defended at the next GE, the loss of some excellent colleagues including Justin Madders and Lucy Powell from the frontbench is disheartening, and will mean Govt having to work much harder on listening to and delivering for the North West.

Might start a petition to make the quiet carriage on a train also quiet from long monologues over the tannoy on what's on offer in the onboard shop, upselling ticket upgrades & the fact the train is delayed enough for delay repay (which is inevitable on an Avanti service) after every station stop ๐

Iโm incredibly sad to see my friend Angela Rayner leave government. We canโt now risk losing touch with who we are and who our party was founded to serve. Whatever comes next, the Labour Party must speak to, deliver for and unite the country. Thatโs what people asked us to do last year.

Something particularly tasteless about this when his own tax arrangements are hardly above reproach. Angela was found to have acted with integrity, but nonetheless breached the Ministerial Code and resigned. Farage wouldn't know what integrity looks like.

A good read from Zoe, ft. me as the resident Luddite. I'm v sceptical about AI which seems to be increasingly pitched as the answer to everything, usually because we're asking the wrong question (the right one here being: are MPs offices appropriately resourced to meet the level of demand on them?)

3 episodes in to Hostage and while I can just about suspend my disbelief about the overall premise for the sake of telly, what I can't believe is that the Speaker would ever allow an intervention in a Statement or for the PM and LOTO to be repeatedly calling each other "you" in the Chamber ๐ฑ

Jenrick can't control who stands in the background of his photos, but he can decide whether to attend protests with a far-right message and a documented history of being organised by the far-right. He knows this. He goes anyway. Once upon a time it would have been a sackable offence.
