I guess it is kind of fundamental to my world view that people a good deep down, which is why it sucks at times when marginalized people are such assholes to each other and I need to question that belief as a result.

I explained the massive energy and water waste involved in using AI to a group of young people today. They really did not know about the environmental impact at all. It's really worth having the stats at hand. It can at least start casting doubt on this being a use of tech with 0 consequences.
