i don’t want to compare them bc i think they’re both very different BUT something i do find interesting is how nosferatu depicts the grotesque as abhorrent yet undeniable (which makes it so disturbing) while in frankenstein the grostesque is beautiful and asks for admiration

The Creature and Elizabeth being an autistic to autistic communication, disability rep just like Byhardt. The concept of Elizabeth's butterfly in captivity yet represents freedom and ephemeral life. The Creature's chains, slave to its creator, a vessel, and nonverbal. This film is neurodivergent!

I have so much to say about the film (positive). One thing I know is that I'll have to draw Byhardt as The Creature and Elizabeth. I could write on Frankenstein and the parallels with Rhea, Byleth, and Byhardt (GDT thanks). Some lenses & subjects: disability, queerness, otherness, feminist, etc

LRS Yes 👏 go off! Byleth is not you typical protagonist and he has so much going on beneath the surface. Being a Byleth fan and trying to find like-minded fans is certainly hard when there's so much anti-Byleth even surrounding Lin stans. It makes my exp. as a Byhardt fan a little lonely

Their "silence" is actually another very intriguing part of their character too, but because they're not always openly proclaiming their every thought and feeling in words most people will just write them off as bland and uninteresting, which is very unfortunate

their complicated relationship with their father, their distaste for their moniker, the way they don't truly understand friendship due to how they were raised, the ways the plots of each route affect their feelings and decision making. There's a surprising amount to them most people don't gaf about

been listening to a lot of the 3Houses/Hopes ost so Fódlan's on the brain again, I think Byleth having very little spoken dialogue really just made people write them off as a character completely, cause if you care to do even just a little digging you can see a very fleshed out character in there
