Imagine there is a trend of increased diagnoses of cancer, or dementia, or asthma, or arthritis or whatever and when the government announce an expert review into it a whole bunch of people start shouting about how bad and cynical an idea this is. Well that's happening for mental health.

When I was at an Oxford college whose library for some reason has a copy of Reeves’ BA thesis, I was separately approached by two different people asking for help to get hold of it. The obsession with taking down her intellectual credentials is revealing - and absolutely mental.

I bought a ÂŁ150 thing from France. I'm truly delighted to pay ÂŁ40 tax on import: that's for schools and hospitals. The ÂŁ11 handling fee for DHL, on the other hand, is purely to cover the expensive slow additional bureaucratic admin needlessly created for us all by Brexit voters. Merry Xmas!

My blog post on the PATHWAYS puberty blocker trial: "Ten million pounds and two hundred childhoods, spent not to discover whether puberty blockers “work”, but to postpone the moment when the NHS finally has to admit they never did and never could."

So many well-educated people I know are unaware of this about chiropractors and I’m always too embarrassed / polite / English to mention it. Like when I bite my tongue when people talk about “alternative” medicine for serious, terminal illness

The BBC write as if assessing if someone is male or female "by appearance" is a bad thing. But that is how we do tell if someone is male or female every day. Humans are very good at it. It does not depend on clothes and social stereotypes - but body/face shape/size...

Yes, yes, yes. This is coming. It caught voters in the US by surprise. The same will happen in the UK. Once we dismantle institutions base decisions on evidence and reason, we lock in a culture of authority, ideology and oppression. History shows this lasts generations, or until society collapses.

Greens. Cranks from top to bottom now. The reformers have lost to a guy who thinks he can make breasts get bigger through the power of his mind. If you lose to that you have to conclude you were in the wrong party.

Palestine Action is above all incredibly tedious and indulgent. The time and money of everybody protesting would demonstrably be much better spent on donations to non proscribed charities and aid organisations dedicated to helping Gazans. Victims of war crimes an adornment for their public display.
