The RPH has catastrophically failed twice now in the Disney Lorcana $15k in Denver. Ravensburger, please hit the pause button on that utility. This is genuinely unfair to the players in these events and puts unnecessary stress on the judge team that’s helping manage the events through these issues.

My interest here isn’t what the store or WotC is doing. Rather, it’s the phrase “toxic casual mentality” which I’ve never heard or read before. Is that a thing? If so, how would you fine people define it? What does it look like?

Also relevant: the deck she won with was her own creation. No net decking, pulled the cards from the collection herself. Her first genuine fully custom self-build-from-scratch deck. That in itself is a significant step for any budding TCG player. Winning with it, even better.

Ravensburger, the RPH software is being live beta tested at the expense of the players. This can’t continue. It’s my opinion that the RPH only be used for non-competitive events until such time as the product has some of these significant kinks ironed out.

TCG design is fun cos everyone thinks they can do it, very few can, and nobody who needs to read this will believe it 😂

I have no idea if ink tokens are the right answer, but I do know they’d be a heck of a merchandising opportunity.

I’ve been critical of RavB for some of decisions they’ve informed us of from May to present, but when it comes to the CCQ announcement for PPG Denver, I’m giving them grace. I don’t think they sat on the info. Rather, I think they provided the info as soon as they could after CCQ status was granted.

Seeing a bunch of folks posting pictures from Pokemon worlds and I can’t help but be jealous of their experience.

Sound guidance. Between FF and Spider-man, this was going to be a year I went hard into Magic again. Instead, the game finally broke me. It’s too much…so much that my interest got short-circuited. This week my collection gets moved to closet storage. My agency is me walking away, at least for now.

I know Dorf Romantic is a game. I hear good things; never played. It I can’t help but imagine it’s a game about a dating service facilitated by this guy. Dorf is the shorter one.
