May book club reads: Book Lovers by Emily Henry (read), Jade City by Fonda Lee (at 60%), I'm Glad My Mom Died by Jennette McCurdy (not sure I’ll get it in time to read it) & The Lincoln Highway by Amor Towles (big book but hoping I can get to it).

Pack rush at Friday night Lorcana. Played 3 games & won 1. Played a 5 player game & lost but it was fun seeing the new cards. Never a bad time when hanging out with friends! I got the Pocahontas card & she’s pretty. Postcards with the sayings on the back are funny.

Played mahjong today & I was able to finally win! I think we played 4 games & I won on the last one. I had a lot of jokers so that helped. The hand was the 4 winds-4 North, 3 East, 3 West & 4 South. I tried a new hand. I usually end up doing consecutive numbers.

Monday Lorcana league was 2 - 3 player games & then a 4 player game. I at least won one of those games with my location deck. I blasted them with locations. Too many to banish all of them.

It seems my dog, Malcolm, has been good for my health. I get up every morning to walk him. Since it’s been hotter it 1-2 miles but when fall/winter was here it was 3-4 miles. Not looking forward to full blast summer. This Sun-Tues will be in the 100s. I love that for me!!

Ted Lasso binge watching update: we’re on season 3 with only 5 episodes left to watch then the wait until August. Looking forward to it!

Getting ready for season 4 of Ted Lasso by binge watching the others. Watching season 3 & still confused by the breakup with Roy & Keeley-no good reason for it. The 2nd confusion was how much hate Nate had. Still don’t understand why he became so terrible to everyone.

Malcolm & River reunited once again. They have a standing get together every Thursday.

I got a surprise at TJ Maxx. They sell books! There weren’t a ton & it was on the shelves in the check out line. So I quickly looked through them & got a Evie Woods for only $8!! It’s her new book, The Violin Maker's Secret. So if they’ve been selling all this time I hadn’t notice. Will look now.

I finally got the Lego bamboo done today! I now just have one more set to put together & the Four Gentlemen will be complete.

Monday Lorcana league was 3 games with 3 players & I won 2! I played a deck that I haven’t in a really long time. It was good to play something different.

Friday night Lorcana league was pack rush. We played 1 - 4 player game which I won then 2 - 5 player game to which I won the last one. The pack was in my favor.

I did it! I finally won with the new mahjong card. Actually I won twice in a row. I broke my curse of not winning. I got really excited.

I went to see You, Me & Tuscany today. It was the 1st time I went to the movies by myself & I literally had the theater to myself. I liked the movie. It was cute.

Lorcana league for Friday was canceled but we played at our house. 2 - 4 player games. I only won one with my location deck. It was a fun & chilly time!!

I somehow skipped the line for Book Lovers by Emily Henry. It isn’t until next month that I need to read it but I’d been on the hold list for a long time. Now I need to finish The Wedding People then start Book Lovers then read Correspondent. If I have time reread The Invisible Life of Addie LaRue.

Made chicken piccata. I haven’t cooked this recipe in a really long time. Hoping it’ll taste good. This isn’t a summer dish. I’m very warm from the stove!!

Played at my Lorcana league last night & almost won all the games! We played 3 - 4 player games. I won with my Stitch & Lilo deck then won with my Jafar deck. I did win with my location deck on the 3rd game but chose another player to win instead. He’d been stuck at 17 for a while but got up to 19.

Last night at Lorcana league we played 2 games with 5 players. I won the 1st game & the 2nd was close with almost all of us at lethal. Our game store raffled off Lorcana poster board stuff. I picked the snowboard Stitch. I would have liked the Mickey banner but someone picked it before me.

I was at Petco & they had Mickey Mouse ears for dogs on sale. I was tempted but didn’t get any. Malcolm would end up eating them.

On Monday at my Lorcana league, we played 2 - 4 player games. I won the 1st with my mostly Stitch deck & technically won the 2nd but I was told I can’t win 2 in a row. So I let @psypher1000.lorcana.community win it.

This is the pile of books that I’m sending to my mom. There’s a few that are specifically for my sister. My mom tells me that she likes the books I pick for her because they aren’t ones she’d pick herself.

March book clubs: The Silent Patient by Alex Michaelides (read twice), Starter Villian by John Scalzi & Not Quite Dead Yet by Holly Jackson. I liked the books but I didn’t love them.

Tomorrow is a book sale at my local library. I’m excited! I always find something there & they have antique books as well. I don’t need more books but I won’t say no if I find something. However I’m concentrating on finding books for my mom. I’ll be sending her a box soon.

Played a 5 player game of Lorcana tonight & didn’t win. Came close but not close enough.

Played Monday Lorcana league last night & my location deck did well. I played 1v1-twice (1-1) then played 3-4 player games (don’t remember who won the 1st but I did win the last 2 with my location deck.

Just saw Pixar’s Hopper & it was good. I enjoyed it. It was a lot funnier than I thought. Looking forward to see Project Hail Mary, Devil Wears Prada 2 & The Mandalorian & Grogu movie.

Went to my community sale with a friend & ended up walking about 4.7 miles. It was very chilly then got warm as the morning progressed. My dog, Malcolm, did really good. He got to meet a lot more people. I got jewelry, jigsaw puzzle & a comic book. My friend killed it books, clothes, bracelets etc.

My friend & I made some jewelry today. I did a multicolored bracelet & will make another one for a friend. My friend made earrings & a pretty, sparkly bracelet.

Tried to do some organizing of my craft room…it went OK. Then did a little bit of scanning my new books to shelve in my library. Got rid of a few books. Probably could do more but that’s for another day.

I went to the wetlands over the weekend. I’m glad I went to see it but it probably would’ve been a better experience with a guided tour.

I’m very close to finishing Mrs. Plansky’s Revenge by Spencer Quinn. I like it so far & I enjoy an older character not letting old age define her. She’s taking charge of her situation. I do find some of the words/ phrases sound like Chet. I can hear Chet saying that line or thought.

Played our Monday Lorcana league & @psypher1000.lorcana.community smoked us! We played 2 games with 3 players then a 4 player game & he won all of them. He even switched out his deck each game. I played a new deck-mostly Stitch. It didn’t do too bad. Just need to learn the card.

I just went to a huge book sale & got several books & DVDs. Also found some books for my mom & some for friends.

Finished the Netflix series Run Away, based on Harlan Coben’s book. It was good. It even got a “pretty good” from my husband which is high praise. Coben is the king of twists & it kept me watching to the end. There were a lot of dead bodies in this series.

As a 1 year old, Malcolm, he is hanging out on the love seat, sometimes staring at me & sometimes falling asleep. He’s a big boy now.

This is so me! I usually do own it but haven’t read it yet. On another note, I loved the Little Miss & Mr Men books.

I finished Lock Every Door by Riley Sager last night & that book was messed up! It was good. I read it in about 2 days. It had me hooked. In the end I could see it happening.

Malcolm will be turning a year this week. I decided to have a little puppy party for him. So his “girlfriends” Lola & River came over to play. I think they all had fun chasing & playing together.

Books just keep getting more expensive! This weekend I’m going to a huge book sale. Found out last year that they just recycle the books that don’t sell.
