I have some weird quirk about distorted images of faces. It’s not demon face syndrome (an actual thing). Faces IRL and conventional photos of faces are fine. The images that bug me are most often book covers. It’s a trend. The first one I recall was Burning Chrome. I had to use a dust jacket

AI is getting so good that, like us, it can’t tell an ass from the CEO a certain game publisher

I used to love Kai’s Power Tools; a suite of Photoshop plugins. They pushed the limits of interface design. The UI for each plugin was unique. One looked like wood, then the next like spilled magenta paint. Some used sliders, some dials. The trouble was that all those UIs provided a trash UX.

When “The West Wing” was airing, my dad recommended that I watch it. I was neck deep in my career at that point, and my wife and I were raising our toddlers. We didn’t watch grown-up TV for about a decade. It always sounded like something I’d enjoy. I’ve been binging it now. He was right.
