Nine people were injured when a gunman opened fire at a concert venue this weekend in Cincinnati, Ohio. At least one person is still in critical condition. Americans deserve to exist in their communities without constant gun violence.

here's a little story. Janet Mills won a big settlement against drug companies as part of the opioid crisis and used it to buy Narcan, enough for every fire station and police department in the state. Republican Paul LePage said Narcan just encouraged drug use and people should die,

he refused to distribute the Narcan Janet Mills had bought. So she delivered it, herself, every weekend she'd put a box in her personal car and drive by herself across the state delivering life saving drugs to fire houses all over this big state.

That story is why I voted for her to be governor, her with a box of narcan on her front seat driving hours and hours to some small town in rural Maine because it might help one person. That she never takes no for an answer when the right thing needs doing, that she always finds the way.

I get why/that people say this, but dont' underestimate this: all other social networks are invested in making sure that posts that link to journalism remain buried, or at least never go viral. BlueSky doesn't do that. That makes it very valuable to a ton of newsrooms righ tnow.
