Anyway, I put my Steam Deck back in Gaming Mode and now I’m poking around at my Collections. There are some that I wish I could automate but the tools for Dynamic Collections lack the scope I’d need. For example, I have a Collection called “Potato Playable”. Criteria for that is tricky to assess.

Bleh, something fucked up during the last phase of the 98 install and DOSbox-X wouldn’t mount the CD-ROM while it was trying to install drivers, and then when I exited to adjust the config file and simplify the disc image file name, it wouldn’t boot from the hard drive image any more.

After watching some LGR videos to wind down, I got the itch to use Windows 9x again. My first computer shipped with 95, and we upgraded it to 98 in 2003(!), so that’s where my nostalgia is. Sooooo now I’m installing 98 in DOSbox-X on my Steam Deck, with plans to install some of my old CD-ROM games
