when people point back at Reconstruction to explain where we are as a country (a good impulse) its often to claim that Reconstruction completely failed I'd say it's more like: Reconstruction was partial and compromised, which kept the Civil War going as a domestic political battle vs a won war

I need to remind people. The midterms have never been so important. Don't let people use scare tactics or make you think it won't happen. also if voting didn't matter gerrymandering wouldn't exist.

you know what? If you come on here and you say, "There is no use in voting. We're never getting out of this by voting," you're going to get pushback. And you should. If you have suggestions, fine. Make them, but right now, we are actually flipping districts that haven't been Democratic for 40 yrs
