Today's #nicenews is about birds. We LOVE to chase 'em but that's cuz we're secretly jealous they can fly. Scientists discovered a new bird that's a cross between a blue jay & a green jay. They THINK they mated because climate change shifted weather patterns. Whatever the reason, it cool!

Our #dogjoke of the day- What do you call a wild dog that meditates? Aware wolf. 🤣

Today's #nicenews tells us something we pups already knew-that we're pretty smart. I mean you have to be to train your humans. If it seems like we're NOT learning a trick, it may just be that we don't want to or we're training you to do things our way. We're pretty crafty that way. . . 😉

Today's #goodnews comes from Taiwan where owners of a resort wanted to make sure their ducks had a place to stay cool in the heat and be safe during typhoons. They had 4 little huts designed that even have lighting and windows so guests can watch the ducks. Lucky ducks! 😊

Celebrated Rocky's 1 year adoptaversary by taking a trip to Mt. St. Helen's. Had lots of fun and even surprised us by jumping on 2 logs but then got stuck 😆. No worries-he wasn't stuck long! That's Spirit Lake and you can see how exhausted this #dachshund was on the way home.

Today's #goodnews comes from Pittsburgh. Paws Across Pittsburgh installed a microchip scanner outside their rescue so people can scan lost pets any time of day. Reuniting lost pets with their families fast is wonderful cuz we know our mom and dad would be sick with worry if we ever got lost.

Today's #nicenews is really cool and some weird photos of ocean life. One of the winners is of orcas and was taken in our area-the Puget Sound. Check them out! You'll see all kinds of unusual things from squids to a dwarf minke whale and other things we've never heard of.

Dewey here- #throwbackthursday to the day when we adopted Rocky. Can't believe it's almost been a year since I got a little brother. From the first day, it was clear that we were gonna best buds! Like 2 peas in a pod! 😍

Today's #goodnews is about Titch, Ash and Clinker. 3 black cats helping to keep a train station in the UK free of mice. The station has always had cats on staff to keep rodents in check and after their last 'mouser' past away, they found these 3 stray cats who have taken over mousing duties.

Today's #goodnews is from Australia-again! They've just created one of the largest national parks and it's going to protect more that 12,000 koalas and more than a hundred protected species. Wow! They're doing so many great things to help the environment and wildlife. 😊

Today's #goodnews comes from LA where they opened a new community center and preschool to help homeless families. 4 paws up to cities who are taking care of those who need it the most. People helping people (and animals). That's what the world should be all about.

Today's #goodnews is about a baby bonobo. Why is this such great news? Cuz bonobos are an endangered species so every one born needs to be celebrated. Plus, the baby is super cute! The Columbus Zoo hopes many more bonobos babies will be born and we hope so too!

Today's #goodnews is about Kenya, the last elephant to be relocated to a sanctuary. We love that Argentina has been closing its zoos and relocating animals to rescue centers and sanctuaries. Most of the elephants had been living alone but now they're able to live out their lives with others. 😊

Monday's #dogjoke- How many hairs are in a dog’s tail? None! The hair grows on the outside. 🤣

Today's #goodnews is amazing! Lola was diagnosed with cancer & only had a few months to live when she started a clinical trial at UC Davis. The treatment didn't seem to work BUT 1 month later, the cancer was gone! It only worked on a few dogs & now they're figuring out what makes Lola special.

We took at drive to Mt. Rainier yesterday. Rocky had never seen her up close & personal. Our legs are short so our best view was from Mom's lap. Dad took TONS of photos of us that we'll be sharing after we recover. It was EXHAUSTING! We really did try to stay awake. 😴

Did you know geckos bark? In today's #goodnews, scientists found a new species of geckos living in Africa after hearing strange sounds. Turns out, geckos aren't just cute. They help the environment by eating insects and burrowing under the sand aerates the soil to help plants thrive.

Here's a family of raccoons that visit our yard to eat cherries. There's actually 5 in the family but 1 of the kids is slower & didn't make the photo. The "slow" kid is the one that's struggling to get into the tree. He or she also had problems climbing onto the fence. 😁

Today's #nicenews is from our great state of Washington. Read about the over 2 dozen mules that help keep the almost 1 million acres of Olympic National Park looking good. They haul equipment and materials for maintaining trails and even help with search and rescue. What can't they do?

Mom couldn't believe that I (Rocky) actually LOOKED at the camera for once so that's a fail for #wontlookwednesday but the rest work. 😁 Dewey kinda fell out of bed but he doesn't mind cuz he can sleep in any position. He's the King of snoozing.

Today's #goodnews is about these adorable Socorro dove chicks. They were extinct in the wild so some zoos started breeding programs to save them. Now there's about 200 of them. These chicks were born at the Chester Zoo where they hope to hatch even more soon.

Everyone needs a home. That's what today's #goodnews story is about. When he died a Wisconsin man donated 20 rental units to Pillars, a non-profit helping people with housing. Because of him, many people now have a home. Isn't that what everyone wants and needs? Help others when you can. 😊
