I said it would get worse very quickly. By tomorrow we will have completed the most dangerous & frightening 24 hours thus far of Trump 2.0. Just to name a few: 1. Defiance of a court order by sending migrants to Sudan without due process (despite clear DP decision SCOTUS) & Dist. CT. order.

I have been thinking something along these lines - why do we keep throwing our energy into processes designed solely to disenfranchise us, and which establish the terms of the debate to our disadvantage? Could we collectively decide to direct our energies to something more effective?

Two points about that leaked Labour NEC guidance. Neither, I am afraid, good. First, the author uses the (rare, outside transphobic discourse) words "transwoman" and "transman" which delegitimise as women and men people who are trans. Hard to believe this is by accident.

Today, the EHRC are supposedly launching a consultation on their plans for trans segregation. To mark the occasion, I've been looking at my notes from 2009. As part of consultations for the Equality Bill, the EHRC held multiple meetings with all affected groups - including of course trans people.

I also head that a lot of MPs were taken back by the strength of pro-trans support in the wake of the SC ruling, because all they ever heard from was GCs. I mean, that's just not true, that's who they listened too. Still, it is working. Keep writing. Keep phoning
