I'll add onto one point about how a machine cannot suggest, only state its themes. Good writing risks going over the heads of the incurious. They'll be upset that it doesn't reward their inattentiveness by saying its emotions or themes point blank. And you have to be okay with upsetting them.

I keep seeing people thinking this is a bluesky problem. If you're seeing this it thinks you're in a state or country with age verification laws. This is what every social media site will do if KOSA and the KIDS Act succeeds. Running to another socmed won't fix it, we have to fight the source.

I hosted a neighborhood book club to read this together. It felt so awkward for me to initiate, but people were really into it and we had amazing meetings and discussions. AND it forged relationships that strengthened mutual aid infrastructures when crisis came to Minneapolis.

I know we joke about things like "I was radicalized by believing children deserve to be fed" and stuff like that, but so much of why we are seen as radical is that we then observe why some children arent being fed. The reasons? Bigotry. Sexism, classism, racism, homophobia etc.

I see I need to make a clearer point. Framing things this way puts the blame on the consumer - the consumer that spends hundreds of millions of dollars on subs every month - as though it is their fault for freeloading. But is it the consumer's fault that the model was built the way it was? No.
