This is a tone-deaf take on artificial intelligence and vibe coding; the problem isn't the LLMs, it's the fact that they made a lot of developers complacent, which in turn made them care less about their code, and in the process, just leads to far more severe bugs rearing their ugly heads today. 1/2

This was a team effort, and @zicklag.dev & @meri.garden really pulled through on getting it to exist. Now that it's "real," I think there's a lot of leeway in how things get to move! So excited to see where things go. Willing to bet that in a year, Roomy will be a legitimate alternative to Discord!

When @bsky.app pulls this kind of crap often, whilst also expecting the community to do the heavy-lifting in actually convincing people to try out the AT Protocol... it's really difficult to feel hopeful about the future of Bluesky and its constituents. I imagine many agree with this stance.

After thinking about this question all weekend, I think my favorite candidate is the alchemical symbol for air: 🜁 It’s connotes both atmosphere and “transfer”. It’s a standard Unicode character. It references a capital “A.” And it’s very simple, which feels appropriate for a protocol, like 🌐 or 🛜.

Hey @mu.social, embeds on Discord and Telegram seem to be broken. The previews don't support animations + you can't see likes and reposts, and Discord's embeds are missing the timestamp, hyperlinks from mentions and links, and the user's icon.

Developers should be willing and open to bring on UX designers offering their free time to enforce strong design guidelines in the name of ease of use and accessibility. This is a call to all the developers on @atproto.com: BE OPEN AND WILLING!! AI will not and will never replace UX designers.

I had to drop Linux half a year into using it (I switched back to Windows, but not before I debloated it to Hell and back, and customized it with Windhawk) because I couldn't use it as a daily driver. A few reasons why, but I think the strongest one is that the UX is often disregarded on Linux.
