Breaking on MS NOW: Career DOJ prosecutors in both Minnesota and Los Angeles refused to be involved in charging Don Lemon and the other journalists who covered the Minneapolis church protests. The prosecutors believe the evidence does not support the charges, per @carolleonnig.bsky.social.

This isn’t about convicting Don Lemon. It’s unlikely that will happen. It’s about intimidating journalists & making them censure themselves out of fear of consequences. It’s about eroding the free press because the administration can’t afford the criticism.

I think it’s worth keeping in mind that the specific church that was protested, inspiring these outrageous constitutional violations by DOJ, is part of the network of Christian Nationalist churches tied to Doug Wilson and attended by Pete Hegseth.

Note the passive voice here. They kept saying their agents would be endangered. But no protestor has taken a shot at an agent. They also told those agents that they would be supported no matter what they did, had absolute immunity. The Trump admin is responsible for the bloodshed that followed.
