This is, in my opinion, not only the correct moral/ethical/legal position but also the correct political framing. Everyone can see the agency is out of control; everyone can see that it is constantly violating human rights. "Scrap it and start over" is the moderate position.

Wow, sure would be pretty crazy if a ton of experts in the artificial intelligence field relentlessly warned everyone about this state of affairs being inevitable over and over for years.

Data is correct, causal agency is (IMO) incorrect. The vast majority of ppl who use AI to make images and video have never touched and would never touch Photoshop/AfterEffects/Illustrator/etc. The issue is Adobe trying to squeeze its users with subscriptions, and other customer-hostile behavior.

It's been a chaotic time to be an artist. Now that Canada has a trade agreement with China, it's only a matter of time before Trump ends free trade. If you're American and been eyeing a piece, now's probably the time. I know times are tough, but if you could help with a share, it'd mean so much.
