Tanahashi's retirement overshadows all, but Tsuji and Takeshita had a really awesome match in the semi-main. I'm a sucker for the gunslinger spot (see: Danielson/Ospreay and Hangman/Ospreay) and they nailed that and the Boston crab finish perfectly. Not so awesome: Jake Lee as the next challenger.

I got my New Japan World subscription for Wrestle Kingdom 11, nearly nine years ago. I just had to cancel it because I got my renewed credit card, and with their platform you have to cancel and resubscribe with the new payment info, and I'm not going to sign back up. It's the end of an era.

Kyle Fletcher and Mark Briscoe have strong chemistry together, but so do Fletcher and Komander. It's a pairing that has delivered every time out.

Found an old VOW match of the year column from 2013 where a few people wrote about Charles Lucero vs. Rey Hechicero, a battle of the maestro and the hidden gem. All the reviews mentioned that Big Hech did a crazy dive so I had to find it.

Hangman vs. Fletcher isn't just one of the best matches of the year, it'll end up being one of the most important matches of Fletcher's entire career. His first PPV main event, a world title match no less, and he knocks it out of the park.

MJF-Mistico was incredible. Big Mist running the razor and running away with the Flair/Thesz Award.
