A really tragic loss. Ian was a super committed fan, who wasn't afraid to travel for his hobbies. As well as wrestling, he was a St. Pats regular. Really reminds me of Dylan Shah who we also lost this year. I'm glad that he was able to do so much that made him happy but wish he had time for more.

I loved so much about Hangman vs. Fletcher. The physicality, the escalation, the intensity was all at the right level. I liked the way both guys approached the match. Kyle was so poised in the spot. Danielson was OUTSTANDING on commentary. He enhanced it with his explanations and observations.

The wrestling industry needs to take a proper look at itself when it comes to done to death ladder type matches. It won't, but it should.

I didn't think it was possible for me to enjoy a three way dance as much as I did that one. Mascara Dorada really upped his game a level there. I thought he'd struggle but he did great. Okada was ON tonight, and Takeshita is always on. Finishing sequence was a gem.

Ricochet worked SO hard to make that match work.

The last four Anniversario shows have all delivered bigtime for me. Four in a row coming off the pandemic is really good going from CMLL. It can't be stressed enough how well they've turned this promotion around.

Mens 200m was electric! Lyles absolutely flew it. Always a personal favourite event for me in athletics. Just as exciting as the 100 I think. Bryan Levell looks like a future star. Womens 200m up next and could be just as good.

It's very funny that no modern wrestlers seem to know how to safely do Bret Hart's ring-post figure 4 spot, but nerds like me do because we watched enough Bret shoot interviews 25 years ago to hear him moan about Goldberg. Watching collision and yelling at KOR to hold Garcia's foot!

Jaka's matches in Evolve against Zack Sabre Jr were world class. Really stood out in a competitive era of great wrestling. He was every bit the wrestler Zack was on those nights. Check them out if you've never seen them.
