Finally watched Amakusa vs. Odashima GHC Jr. title match from January. Absolutely electric match with a great crowd so invested in Daiki. He's the most exciting young prospect in wrestling and I beg the morons that run NOAH to please not fuck it up.

Hugely disappointing Champion Carnival lineup from All Japan. There is potential for a lot of really putrid wrestling on that tour. I'm sure there will be a handful of pretty good matches, but they will be the minority and there is nothing interesting about the tournament as a whole.

I could do a podcast on this. For style, I think it's hard to beat the classic Choshu lariat with the head of steam built up. For brutality, Yuji Okabayashi and Yoshihito Sasaki may be the benchmark. Kojima has to be mentioned for how well he protected his Western Lariat.

I watched all three Jon Gresham matches from this past weekend in the Jersey J-Cup, and it's absolutely staggering how good he was for a guy that had a stoke only a few months ago. Having seen personally what a stroke can do to someone, it's really mind-blowing to me. Very happy for him he's ok.
