Mox and Page's career trajectories freaky friday'd after their feud. After that Mox has gone from feeling flatter than he ever had to completely reinvigorated. Meanwhile Page has gone from main event hero of AEW's biggest show of '25 to...saddled with trying to make Hook happen.

World's End had 1 fantastic, must-see match in Mox/Kyle. Some good action otherwise in front of an often concerningly flat crowd. Some booking and style choices that don't feel like a brand that is challenging the modern status quo but living within it. One of AEW's lesser PPVs.

With just those two matches to go, the C2 final feels way bigger than the world title match that will come after it, which is a compliment to the people in the former and maybe a little bit of a criticism to those in the latter.

Sometimes Callis' promos can be a lot of style but feel kind of hollow but that one on Mox was his best in awhile.

Darby is basically a slump buster for big dudes. If you are some ass kicker that can throw people around, it's near impossible to have a bad match with him.

Mox gradual face turn works because he's not doing some big abrupt 180 change of heart that you can't quite buy. He's just never giving up in the face of adversity and in doing so, becoming more admirable over the course of weeks.

First two matches of Worlds End is a microcosm of modern AEW for me where they do some Diet WWE thing that makes me wonder why I bother and then they love bomb you with an amazing match. It's basically me in relationships, bad habits and grand sweeping romantic gestures.

all these promotions can't produce the matches that AEW does on the regular so it makes sense to so they're going to try a different route but also what they think of as their storytelling is usually actually far worse than their matches

Cena's career is bittersweet. Full of talent, but for all the great matches he had, he had to live through a lot of WWE's most boring, creatively flatlined periods. It's a compliment to him that he simultaneously had a HOF career and still feels like he wasn't fully utilized.

The "WHAT IS STORYTELLING" wrestling debate might be tolerable if half the parties didn't think that everything that isn't the actual wrestling is the only place to tell a story. Promos and long pauses in matches to give speeches or 20-second stunned faces? Your only tools.
