미국은 총기 규제한다고 해도 개인정보인 병력으로 규제할 수도 없고 겉으로 드러난 행적, 신고나 범죄기록 등으로 분류해 기록이 있는 자는 총기 사는걸 규제하겠다는건데 사실 방안의 커다란 흰 코끼리—알지만 아무도 이야기하지 않는 문제—는 미국이 전반적으 의료 접근성이 낮아서 총기 사고를 낼 정도로 뭔가가 심각하게 정신적으로 틀어진 사람이 그렇게 될 때 까지 치료를 받거나 조기발견되기가 쉽지않음. 멀리서 볼땐 다들 비슷비슷한 인간들인데 이 중 누가 어디가 썩어서 총기 사고를 일으킬 지 모르는거지.
