As an addiction and mental health therapist I talk with clients about joy even in dark times. The pursuit of joy gives us hope, and fortunately it’s all around us. A dog’s awoo. A bee asleep in a flower. A smile filled with love. Conservatives don’t value joy or gratitude. It shows.

Most of the time, you'd be glad you didn't. Only time I don't listen much to Black folks is when it's Black Christians with their white jesus and bible thumping shit. A lot of the African and Black Christians I know, are often saying a bunch of backwards & bigoted stuff. Yeah, miss me with that BS!

As a Black person, from experience, I've learned that when Black folks, especially Black women, advice you not to do something, even if in that moment, you don't understand why you shouldn't do it, I find it's best not to do it. You can research the reason why later, but just don't do it.

You know who else I love? Music nerds. Not celebrity focused but the actual music.
