It's not appropriate for cis people to say that trans people are too alarmed, or that certain trans writers are irresponsibly causing trans people to think the sky is falling. I want to take some time in this 🧵 to write personally about how my skies have fallen.

We are swiftly headed for a society in which a trans kid must undergo state mandated torture, are banned from being on line, are banned from hanging out in most public spaces, are banned from using bathrooms at school, banned from accessing the health care they need, and banned from playing sports.

This is literally why there's a bipartisan effort to remove internet access from young people. It's an attack on queer people, leftists, and anyone who questions authority. They don't want our children finding out that MLK and Frida Kahlo were socialists or that Stonewall was a riot.

Where are all these modern mainstream movies with a bunch of gratuitous sex that people are wringing their hands over, asking for recreational purposes.

Much of my youth revolved around the website ZineLibrary. It went down around Occupy in a massive loss for a movement whose ideas and knowledge mostly doesn't circulate online but in person. Anyway I've put it back online with a *thousand* anarchist zines: zinelibrary.org

We could literally have, like, healthcare instead of this. And roads and education and strong infrastructure. And commerce, actual jobs doing stuff and making things because people would be able to afford to buy them. And maybe putting cute little hearts on lattes for happy tourists who feel safe.
