I don't recall seeing this type of response when two politicians in Minnesota were assassinated. Not when school children are murdered either. But here's the thing. Anyone can be harmed by gun violence. I guess some folks just realized they're also made of mortal flesh.

Because, reminder, Charlie Kirk said gay people should be stoned. He called for a "patriot" to bail out the man who attacked Paul Pelosi with a hammer. If that's "politics the right way," then politics the right way apparently justifies and condones murder.

It’s fine to say that violence is never the answer, but I can’t help but observe that for Charlie Kirk violence was always the answer, and it was the only answer he offered, and, because of the privilege that he refused to admit he had, he could enact it from a comfortable and respectable place.

The truth of the matter is that if anyone but Charlie Kirk had been killed at today’s shooting, then Charlie Kirk would be out there right now using the shooting as pretext to deliver arguments designed to make sure that the next shooting would happen, and the next one, and the next, and the next.

Now they are trying to block an elected representative, rep. Dexter of Oregon, from even holding a pride flag while she speaks. This was overruled.
