Today is Tax Day. President Trump promised working families an extra $1,000 in tax refunds. Instead, he gave billionaires tax breaks while everyday Americans get hit with rising prices across the board. Proof that he’s only looking out for his ultrawealthy donors.

Five years ago, a gunman murdered eight people—including four members of the Sikh community—at a FedEx facility in Indianapolis. Our hearts are with all whose lives were changed forever by this horrific tragedy. We must end the scourge of gun violence once and for all.

Congressional Republicans need to come back from vacation and vote to end this war.

President Trump says there is not enough money for childcare or health care, but somehow there is enough for war. His new budget asks for $1.5 trillion for foreign wars, a 28% increase from last year. But there’s no money for health care? The math isn’t mathing.

Asian Americans account for more than half of all hepatitis B cases while Native Hawaiians and Pacific Islanders are 5x more likely to die from pregnancy-related causes. This National Minority Health Month, we recommit to addressing health disparities facing AANHPI communities.

President Trump promised to lower costs on day one. He promised to end foreign wars. He promised to end inflation. He promised to slash energy prices by half. He promised to protect Medicare and Medicaid. He lied. Every. Single. Time.

Goodbye and good riddance to Pam Bondi.

ICE detained a Laotian refugee with cancer. He was denied medical treatment and forced to miss chemotherapy. Now he is spending his final days in hospice.    Every time you think this administration can’t go lower, they prove you wrong. No one deserves this.

Every American, no matter what language they speak, should have access to federal programs and services. At a time when federal language access is under attack, CAPAC and CHC stand united in ensuring everyone can fully participate in our economy and democracy.

The death of Nurul Amin Shah Alam, the Rohingya refugee abandoned by Border Patrol in frigid temperatures, was ruled as a homicide. He suffered dehydration and hypothermia before he passed away. Every person involved in the death of Mr. Shah Alam must be held accountable.

One year ago, Trump announced his “Liberation Day” tariffs.     A year later, families are paying higher prices for groceries and everyday goods. Small businesses are shuttering their doors. So much for lowering costs.

Good riddance. CAPAC will not stop fighting to hold this corrupt administration accountable. Keep the pressure on.

Democrats tried to fund TSA, FEMA, and the Coast Guard 10 TIMES. But the President would rather play political games than pay federal workers. Even Republicans agree.

Prince Jonah Kūhiō Kalaniana‘ole, known as Ke Aliʻi Makaʻāinana (The Citizen Prince), championed Native Hawaiian rights. As Hawaiʻi’s second delegate to Congress, he established a 200,000-acre trust to return land to Native Hawaiians. We honor his enduring legacy this Prince Kūhiō Day.

Our next Women’s History Month highlight is Cecilia Cruz Bamba. Bamba was a senator, community leader, businesswoman, and mother of 10 who led the fight for reparations for the CHamoru people who suffered or died during WWII. (1/2)

146 million Americans do not own a passport. 21 million Americans lack immediate access to their birth certificates. Under the Republicans’ SAVE Act, they would NOT be eligible to vote. This is voter suppression, plain and simple.

ICYMI: A court blocked RFK Jr.’s changes to the childhood vaccine schedule. His changes would have ended hepatitis B vaccine recommendations for all newborns, resulting in thousands of preventable infections for a disease that disproportionately impacts Asian Americans.

Today, I stood with @capac.house.gov, @hispaniccaucus.bsky.social & @cbc.house.gov to condemn Trump’s vile targeting of Dreamers & DACA recipients across the country. Just in the past year, ICE has arrested 261 DACA recipients. These young people grew up here. This is their home.

The Trump administration is proposing changes to the Census Test that may suppress AANHPI representation & impact the disbursement of trillions in federal funding. Chair @meng.house.gov led 66 Members of Congress urging the Dept of Commerce to protect the integrity of the Census.
