AANHPI women are overrepresented in frontline, low-wage jobs. With these jobs, it’s difficult to get the time off from work and budget money for transportation and accommodations to travel for an abortion.

Abortion bans have always forced people to travel for care. For many, abortion access depends on your ability to pay for transport & time off work. We need #AANHPIEqualPay and more policies that guarantee abortion access so we can make the best decisions for our families.

We need to correct the misconception that AANHPI women don’t need resources or support. We are #NotYourModelMinority. To start, we need to address the giant pay gaps that many AANHPI ethnic groups face. #AANHPIEqualPay

For every $1 earned by white, non-Hispanic men, AANHPI women earn 83¢. Money lost to the wage gap means having less to support our families and use as a cushion for job loss and hard times. #AANHPIEqualPay

On average, AANHPI women make 83 cents for every dollar made by a white, non-Hispanic man.
  When you break that down further, many face as wide of a gap as 48 cents to the $1.
  On AANHPI Equal Pay Day, we recognize this injustice as we work to close the wage gap for good.
