Young people in NYC absolutely showed out and there should be 1000 articles and profiles about this. Because we have had to put up with 1000 MAGA diner stories for years now.

Last night, we went to the USDA building to send a big message to Trump: Half isn't good enoughâFULLY fund SNAP. Trump has the power to stop this but chooses politics over people. One in eight families rely on SNAP, and half funding means hunger. Don't starve families so you can play politics.

Sharing this again because when Way to Win surveyed people who voted for Biden in 2020 and did not vote at all in 2024, "too far to the left" wasn't their critique.

We've been doing research into activation (civil resistance beyond voting) for last 4 months - who is activated, activatable, barriers to it, inducements, etc. Key pre-condition for activism isn't mere disapproval. It's viewing current regime as break from standard right wing gov't. /1

The asymmetrical media response to political violence in America is, in itself, one of the most important contributing factors to how we arrived at this place of escalating political violence.

This is the line that Dems need to push. It can't be simply. "Political violence is bad" it MUST be "Political violence is bad and Trump and his ilk are responsible for creating conditions ripe for political violence"

Yes, it's true. Someone did take your job. And your healthcare, pension, wage hikes and life off a single income. It just wasn't immigrants, welfare recipients, queer people or women having abortions. If you want to know who took your money, it's the people with all the money.

I said this months ago but I really need a BLUE STATE COMPACT IMMEDIATELY. Bring together all health depts, all education depts, etc... under one umbrella. Collectivize guidance, ensure that disabled students get what they need, etc... An emergency meeting of all Blue State Governors is overdue.

What did we find in our survey for Way to Win among folks who voted for Joe Biden in 2020 and sat out the 2024 election? They... 1. hold favorable view of Democrats 2. think inequality is at the heart of the countryâs problems 3. think health care should be available to everyone who needs it

The point is to create a world in which the authoritarians can simultaneously inhabit a position of victim and abuser, creating an imagined threat of persecution and violence in order to persecute and carry out violence. This is how this always works. We cannot allow this to continue.

I know that many don't want to hear this but we've been moving towards this current state of affairs over the past 65 years. And it's really been a bipartisan project. The expansion of the carceral state is the fuel for fascism. Folks have been trying to make this case for a long time.

I know you aren't going to want to hear this but the reason the system can deport Mahmoud Khalil and send Kilmar Abrego Garcia to El Salvador is that for years we've been executing factually innocent people like Marcellus Williams and sending legally innocent people to places like Riker's Island.

Someone in one of our recent focus groups literally lamented this very thing. So bummed she couldnât say the r-word anymore. Underneath this, they feel ashamed. They think of themselves as good people, and it feels bad to be told that something they said was hurtful.
