Today, I voted against H.Res. 1099, a Republican resolution that contains inaccuracies and is designed to justify the President's actions in Iran.

Once again, I voted NO on Republicans' blank check for DHS. The funding bill includes ZERO accountability measures to reign in ICE and CBP’s lawlessness, it’s unacceptable. Communities are being terrorized, and people are dying, but Republicans refuse to put forth a serious proposal.

I just voted for a bipartisan War Powers Resolution to stop the President’s illegal military actions in Iran. Militarization has never been the path forward, and funding bombs instead of schools, full bellies, and housing has never been the solution.

It’s long past time that Kristi Noem was fired. But for now, swapping out who sits behind that desk changes absolutely nothing - inside and outside of Congress, we will continue to keep the pressure up for systemic changes before another cent goes to DHS.

Republicans claim to care about fraud, and then elect and capitulate to a felon. If we want real investigations into fraud in this country we need to start by retaining prosecutors, and then we need to take a good hard look at Donald Trump and his Administration.
