Why is everyone reviving I-5 trutherism and complaining about the Central Valley start when the latest CAHSR news from the Draft Business Plan is that they're downgrading the Central Valley segment to focus on SF-LA?

Basically everything people like to criticize about CAHSR is caused by funding. Central Valley start? mandated by federal funding Slow progress? most of the budget has never been funded Current value engineering of IOS? Motivated by quest for private funding

Protest (as opposed to direct action) is essentially an ethical or political appeal to those with the power to effect change. If you know that the people with that power hate you, will ignore you, and will benefit professionally if they’re seen to be repressing you, there’s little reason to do it.
