Most people won't even stop watching a TV show or listening to a musical artist, like the easiest possible thing. When it comes to confronting someone in real life, especially someone with any kind of power, and then dealing with the aftermath of that confrontation? Sorry to tell ya!

Man, we have the same conversations every time a major story like this breaks. Itās exhausting. It is SO HARD to publish a story about gendered violence for a whole host of reasons, a main one being that victims (rightly so!) donāt want to talk.

Better than "framing jobs as more masculine," men shd shed the toxic masculinity harming them in every area of life. The reason they won't take the available jobs is also why they fail in school, suffer from loneliness and high suicide rates, and can't find dates, intimacy, or offline friends. š§µ

Women are getting most of the new jobs. What's going on with men?
Over the past year, the vast majority of new jobs have gone to women. One economist says to help men find work, we need to embrace ways to "make girly jobs appeal to manly men."

I wish the romance community held more space for thoughtful commentary and criticism on genre trends instead of framing it as an attack on readers and authors, because I would love to talk about the renewed popularity of conservative-coded tropes like cowboys, small town rural settings, etc.

This is true, Jim Bowie was a criminal and fraudster of the highest order and his arrogance defying Houston's order to evacuate killed ~185 mother's sons at the Alamo. If Taylor Sheridan portrays him as some kind of rakish hero, it tells us FAR more about the director than it ever could about Bowie.

is right: if you can't have three good days in a major professional sports team sized American city, that is a skill issue on your part. Every one of them has enough food, drink, things to do and see to give you a few good days. Every single one.
