i’m not really one for patient music - much to the irritation of everyone who drives with me. this however is a really lovely tense kind of patience. the drum part is soooo tight too.

Every country in Europe watched electricity prices spike last week. Belgium hit 400 €/MWh. Germany €450. Netherlands nearly €500. Spain barely moved above €100.

"I have given this a lot of thought, and: I really, really need Matt Goodwin to lose tomorrow’s Denton & Gorton by-election. For the good of us all, that man needs to be repudiated, and his ideas stomped into the dust." On one of the worst people in British politics.

Tory plan to shelve “low value” degrees gets the equation wrong. If workers in creative industries - one of UK’s most successful and lucrative industries - can’t pay back their loans, that’s because *they aren’t being valued properly*. Profits are too high and too much of the…

I think I have the solution to the youth social media issue - kids are banned from WiFi. Not the internet - WiFi. If you want to access social media you do it by plugging into Ethernet and going from there - the internet as a destination again, not as a permeable infinite space

My interview task when going for my job with the Co-operative Party was making a social media post celebrating the Labour Party’s commitment to the largest investment in community energy in history. Today we’re posting socials celebrating the delivery of that very same policy. Proud.

I profiled the exact kind of voter they want for Liberal England, and guess what? Basically none of them are interested in voting Tory. Your middle class/aspirationally middle class 30 yr old male graduate probably voted Labour in 2024, and is now a Lab/Lib maybe Grn floating voter.

Poor Melanie. She is SO close to getting it. No, it's no coincidence. Because violence flows directly from ICE and Democrat-run cities are where ICE has been sent to cause it. It's like observing that surfing is not popular in landlocked states or that intellectual rigour is rare at the Telegraph.

Utterly bonkers to define a major party by antagonism. Sure, be sharply ideologically defined in your policy offer - that’s fine! But on values etc you have to cast a wide, wide net. That’s how to survive and thrive.

Some Europeans will be reassured by this, and wind down the (cautious) assertiveness of recent days. But it shows that displays of European resolve move Trump in ways that the misguided sycophancy of previous 12 months never did. It's a reason to press forward, not pull back.
