Coldest winter was 1905, with average temp of 29.1 degrees. Snowiest winter was 2009-2010, with 56.1 inches of snow. Not unusual to have a thaw with highs in the 60s in January... happens most years. That said, our winter climate has warmed substantially since late 1800s.
