one reason I did this is precisely because rust is imo *the* language you can use cross domains freely without performance concerns, and jacquard is one piece of that wrt atproto. I would have done it in bevy in wasm in a browser, but didn't want the additional point of failure.

I particularly love async Rust, but it's definitely complicated. It's a wonderful tool, but it demands deeper/systemic understanding of what is going on at a much higher level than any other feature of Rust, which means that I also commonly recommend avoiding it to folks that are newcomers to Rust.
