Release 20 is LIVE & bringing even more network performance. Jumbo frame support for external networks ( already used internally) raises instance MTU from 1500 to 8500 bytes, substantial for network IO-intensive workloads, plus additional self-service update and block storage services goodness.

just released port-file on crates.io -- if you tell a child process to bind a service to port 0, facilities for the child to tell the parent what port it actually bound to. A very simple problem solved very well

I just installed the @ubiquiti.bsky.social UPS 2U a few days ago to protect my NAS and network gear. Today the power turned off twice during a storm and my NAS and network gear remained up. Love this!

I like what agents like Amp are doing with microVMs that can be paused and resumed. It's a good basis for long running, remote agents. However, I have hardware. I have a lot of hardware. I want a long running Amp service that checks out code in a new directory on my hardware.

MetLife stadium sucks compared to the other stadiums in the World Cup. I say this as someone born and raised in New Jersey.

The biggest failure of this World Cup is that weekend matches start far too late in the day. I want to be in the pool midday with a beer and burger yelling at the TV with my family. Not waiting for 7:30pm to watch the interesting games.

macOS is weird. Cmd+Space to open Spotlight. Type a letter. Hit Backspace. Your letter remains. Rinse and repeat and you have more letters. Cmd+Delete to send a file to Trash. Open Trash. Select file. Cmd+Delete puts the file back instead of permanently deleting it. What?
