Why does the industry keep doing this? People will miss old Naughty Dog and bash TLoU 2 again. Dunkey will clown on it while other YouTubers get their video essays. It'll get a Steam release no one can run, and drop to 80% off after everyone forgot about it. Is all that really worth the crunch?

Mozilla is being incredibly stupid right now, but I'd still advise against using Waterfox or other small Firefox forks. Their teams aren't big enough to address security vulnerabilities in a timely way. Using about:config settings in Firefox to disable all the AI stuff is safer.

A big example of exactly this is LibreWolf. I like the mission, but it's more of a patchset than a fork. One that the entire volunteer-run team could theoretically abandon tomorrow since they have zero obligation to continue maintaining it. Not something you'd want to log into your bank with.

I'll keep saying it every time Mozilla's antics are brought up: I would literally give Firefox money monthly (and suggest others to do the same if possible) if it would free them from outside funding and stop them from chasing trends at the expense of their users.

I’m pissed off enough to say it: the reason 90’s anime aesthetic sticks with you is because of the detail in hold and pans on static panels. The reason you think anime is low quality now is b/c they chase that amount of detail in action and there’s too much going on visually for it to be appealing

This, but also the obnoxious amount of bloom, blur, soft shading and other effects to make everything even more incomprehensible. Like, let the raw artwork stand on its own.
