I drove down Lake Street today, almost end to end across the city. There was graffiti all over the section between 35W and Hiawatha with FUCK ICE, FUCK 12 on banks, and construction signs and street signs, but not the murals. The art was untouched. I fucking love this city.

I helped stopped ICE this morning. I literally drive around in silence now so I can hear if someone is whistling. Saw them grouped up around a car, pulled over, and immediately started blowing on my whistle. They (ICE) were all filming with their personal phones.

Some of the most important work we can do in cities that are not (yet) primary ICE targets is preparing our communities for that eventuality. If you don't see that work happening, that doesn't mean it isn't happening. A lot of it is quiet, by necessity.
