NEW: A baby held in immigration detention became so sick, she had to be rushed to a hospital in severe respiratory distress. “She was at the brink of dying,” a lawyer told me. But the girl didn’t go home after her 10-day hospital stay; instead, ICE put her and her mother back in lock up at Dilley.

The public made noise for Liam Ramos and it got him released from Dilley. Now we must make noise for 7 year old Diana Crespo. Her parents were taking her for emergency medical care when ICE grabbed them, and she’s rotting in the camp sick and exposed to measles. Get them out!

On the radio this morning and someone said Alex Pretti was helping someone "during a protest." There was tear gas, yes, but we are in the streets because a neighbor cried for help. You want to get a 1,000 MNians in the street? Cry for help. We are filming ICE atrocities for our neighbors' sake.

I keep thinking about this fact that his last words were are you okay and hers were I'm not mad at you and it feels like a weird coincidence but it's just a reflection of the fact that the people who are coming out to take care of their neighbors are good and the people who are after them are bad

If you see someone being taken, get their name. GET THEIR NAME. Call out, "what's your name?" or "como te llama?" and record or write it (or both, ideally both) and then call Monarca at 612-441-2881 with the person's name.

I've talked to people on the ground about the strike here tomorrow, and the single thing everyone brings up is just how shockingly wide the support for the strike is. Businesses that no one would have expected to support it are doing so.

But when I asked an organizer what they wanted to see out of press coverage, they told me they wanted people to see the beautiful things they are building here, and not just the worst stories of the worst of ICE's crimes. What people are doing here is beautiful. It's a tragic beauty, but a real one

The reason that Trump's allies insist that we're paid agitators here in the Twin Cities is because we ARE organized and they can't comprehend that people would spend this amount of time an effort to help others without pay. MN regularly leads the nation in volunteerism. This cirsis is no different.
