Under Title 32 USC, The Adjutant General (TAG) in each state is the military commander for both the Army and Air National Guard for that state and usually coordinates directly with the governor for domestic operations including emergency response.

The thing is the people in the social justice mutual grifting game don’t really care about one another. They are desperate people desperate for connection, mixed with some sadists and gunners and social climbers and probably a few feds. everyone has ulterior motives

in Newsom's tepid defense I cannot imagine a single person who isn't a sicko wonk actively reading a Newsom veto letter even if it's put in front of them; I don't think "politicians explain their reasoning for every decision they make in a way legible to everyone" *is* a reasonable ask

I think part of the dynamic is that the CA legislature likes to pass things that sound good but aren’t well thought out / subvert processes that already exist for producing that thing. IMO, the veto message seems pretty reasonable.

Remember, it was the Washington Post who gave Bondi a thumbs up to be confirmed. Democracy Docket made clear from day one that she was an election denying sycophant. No surprise at their coverage of today. Support independent, pro-democracy media today.
