I think fake money systems like this should be explicitly illegal. They are implemented for this exact reason. It’s to pressure you to spend it all, but in order to spend it all you need to buy more, what’s the leftover will also eventually expire, so you will buy more to spend it. Cycle forever.

for those of you not in the know, clip studio assets can be purchased by two forms of fake money--one of which can be purchased by real money but only in certain increments, and the other of which cannot be purchased with real money (for some reason). apparently both of them expire after a time
