The fact that Trigun maximum isn't very long and leaves a lot of worldbuilding unanswered is actually one thing that made it so good. The idea that it would be improved with more padding is crazy to me.

Also ☝️ the manga is clearly influenced by action films [one chapter is a tarantino reference for starters] and episodic westerns and meant to emulate them in terms of how the story is experienced and the approach to "character/setting lore" and worldbuilding in these mediums
