LUCE expanded their work into food delivery, when they recognized that immigrants were afraid to leave their homes to buy food. In this time of acute insecurity, their mission is more important than ever. Please support them if you can!

The free lunch/breakfast is such an important lifeline right now. I was talking to my SIL, who teaches in a school district that doesn't have the resources to do extra food support like Cambridge is doing. The free lunch/breakfast is as essential to her school right now as having lights.

The disastrous lapse in SNAP benefits has put a spotlight on food insecurity โ an issue that was already getting worse here, especially with the loss of the Daily Table. But we can fill that void, while giving the grocery chains some healthy competition. It's time for a city-owned grocery store.
