i have lots of friends, union siblings, and people i respect deeply who work at these orgs, and i don’t want to make this sound like they’re doing it maliciously—it’s just how the law works. the real takeaway is that movement-based organizations need to lead the left, not non-profit law firms.

Massachusetts remains the only blue state with a 287g agreement to collaborate with ICE! our Democratic governor supports handing over our residents to Trump’s secret police. our Democratic legislature hasn’t stopped her. this collaboration makes every cop in MA a functional ICE deputy.

I'm not sure if it's the start of something, but ICE has been more active in my area lately. They've had a bigger presence than usual in the courts and we're also seeing a spike in street abductions. Anyway, I sure hope the Massachusetts Legislature passes the PROTECT Act before 7/31!

i was an umpire & youth sports coach for about a decade. i loved it & always tried to build positive relationships with parents and young athletes. the drive for kids to get athletic scholarships is an understandable reaction to rising college costs, but it is not sustainable & can’t drive policy.

A king must do enough to keep the lords happy, but can ignore them when he wants to do something else. And we've seen this in Cambridge - the city council passed a bike lane ordinance and the former city manager ignored it because he liked cars. The council's remedy? Wait for his retirement.

our city government is largely run by an unelected city manager. we need to democratize Cambridge.
