My generation is staring down the barrel of a future where we own nothing, rent everything, and work until we die because of crap like this. Politicians who’ve been in power for decades have done nothing to reign in these corporations. We’re not waiting our turn anymore to fix their mess.

It was so great to meet with the Colorado Council of Black Nurses last night. We talked about the need for more representation in the medical field, Medicare for All, and meeting the basic needs of every single person to address the impact that economic stress has on millions of Americans’ health.

We’re not gonna get permission from the establishment (the donors) to change the direction of this party. We have to change it ourselves. It’s time we get back to our roots, fighting for everyday Americans, and we can only do that when we get big money out of our politics.
