Very pleased the Kraft Group has agreed to pay $17.5 million for a second headhouse at the Assembly Orange Line station in the Somerville district I represent. I want to thank Sen. DiDomenico, Mayor DeMaria, and all of my state and city colleagues who agreed to prioritize this in negotiations. 🚉 ⚽️ 🙌🏻

This makes sense. Here in Massachusetts, I continue to push for public ownership of our public utilities. We cannot pit affordability against climate justice. We need affordability AND a just transition away from fossil fuels. Public ownership can help facilitate this in a big way. ✅

I was the guest of the Aliance of Cambridge Tenants at their monthly meeting last night — we ate pizza and I answered all their questions about politics and policy — we talked about rent control, social housing, tax policy, navigating the neoliberal bureaucracy, and threatened federal funding cuts.

Incredible time at the last-ever event at Matthews Arena, built in 1910 and once known as Boston Arena, the oldest multi-purpose/hockey arena in the world. As Sports Illustrated recently noted, “in a city with as much history as Boston, it’s easy to overlook a place as storied as Matthews Arena.”
