The Union Square Farmers Market has been a staple for over 20 years. It's back Saturday 5/9 (9–1pm). Check out produce from local farms, gems like Nibble Kitchen, and 60+ local vendors. SNAP matching too! It's a great way to spend a Saturday morning--rain or shine (admittedly less fun in rain).

Somerville spent some of its participatory budgeting dollars on a BurrowRx machine. We got to see a demo of it in action on Monday. It works by filling burrows with carbon monoxide, killing rats without the use of rodenticides, which is way better considering anticoagulants keep killing bald eagles.

This is the most uniting part about traffic calming and bike lanes. Cities that add these see significant drops in crashes involving pedestrians, bikes, & cars. And around here bike lanes are really micro-mobility lanes. I’m especially happy when I see seniors with mobility scooters using them.
