something we talk about a lot in nursing school is the fact that in modern medicine a huge portion of our patients' problems are systemic and there's nothing that they can personally do or we can personally do as healthcare professionals to change anything about that. the whole system's gotta go.

I buy everything I can in physical media. Which means I am basically a dragon hoarding CDs and books and DVDs in an ever growing library. But when the apocalypse happens at least I can loan out books and CDs and make people's lives a little lighter.

If you have endless amounts of rage, that you do not know where to put, focus on your school system. Shake all the tables. The school system isn't necessarily broken. It is under-fucking-funded. In a lot of places, it is based on the zip codes tax money.

If you actually care about kids, you would push for making sure the people who are teaching, tutoring, or coaching them have all the resources they need. That includes, and is probably the most important, that they receive a liveable wage.
