I love the
#ShittyCameraChallenge
because it forces me to think differently. The Nikon Coolpix S10 I used was found in an antique mall for $20. The in-camera monochrome setting had me looking for light and contrast. If you're learning, you're winning. (stolen from

Day 21 our winter solstice: This is a linocut print with collaged Japanese washi papers of a procession of Kolędnicy, or Kolęda carollers through the woods to honour the sun at Winter Solstice. The tradition, also known as Koliada or kolędowanie, dates to pre-Christian times 🧵

A major part of why just sitting back and voting blue no matter who doesn't work is that the next election relies on people believing that stuff will get fixed. It's going to be very hard! And there's no reason to think people who won't fight now will actually follow through on fixing things later!

Winning elections is the means which allows you to do things in office. But DC Dems and their enablers have invented this looking glass approach where winning elections is the ends, and their actual principles, the governing they actually do (or try to) is a totally malleable means. And that's death

I think there could be major improvement there by adding more crosswalks, with stop signs, and eliminating the turn lane. You could fit a median for pedestrian crossing along a huge portion of it

I drive into Point Loma every day for my daughter's school and Rosecrans needs a major overhaul. So much of the local business is cut off from the surrounding neighborhood by the insane raceway that street operates as.

"Corn ethanol requires millions of acres that could instead be used for food crops or more efficient energy sources. One recent study found that solar panels can generate as much energy as corn ethanol on roughly 3% of the land."

Corn’s clean-energy promise is clashing with its climate footprint
Corn dominates U.S. farmland and fuels the ethanol industry. But the fertilizer it relies on drives emissions and fouls drinking water.

I 100% believe this. Obamacare getting healthcare to 20 million people saves about 30,000 people's lives a year. Or about a 9/11 worth of lives EVERY MONTH, in perpetuity. This would be bigger than that.
