While you weren't looking, *seventeen* House Democrats just voted to strip basic rights from trans members of the military and helped the GOP pass their far-right version of the NDAA, similar to what we reported on. This is the most Dems voting for anti-trans legislation in Congress this year.

ICYMI last week I sat down with Rep. Seth Moulton's new competitor @beth4ma.bsky.social for @transnews.network in MA to talk grassroots campaigns, Dem support for trans rights and Palestine, and the fact that America could have nice things

For HR 4016, Representatives Don Davis (NC), Jared Golden (ME), Vicente Gonzalez (TX), Adam Gray (CA), and Marie Perez (WA) all voted to pass it. For HR 3944, only Golden and Perez voted to pass it. No politicians reached out for comment got back to us prior to publication.

These bills range in severity –- some only target veterans, some focus on immigrants in ICE custody, while others focus on federal workers entirely. Notably, however, is that these bills also implement a strong focus on restricting abortion and enhancing the fascist immigration creep.

Seriously y'all if we hit our goal our worker-run newsroom of trans journalists will be able to do so so much, all of it fairly paid.

I highly recommend a full read of this article--especially if youre a queer journalist. We reported on several bills that have many harmful provisions that have been completely ignored by the press and mostly ignored by politicians. We can beat these--but you need to act (suggestions included).
