I have been contacted by more Democratic candidates than I can count. It’s gotta be well over a hundred at this point in the cycle. Not one third party campaign has reached out to me. I’ve asked my friends if they’ve been contacted. None of them have.

Because they only show up every four years. Like clockwork. When politics is at its sexiest. I vote for survival. I vote for my rights. I vote for the most vulnerable. I vote because politics is a numbers game, and incrementalism, exasperating as it can be, is what wins the day.

They have an amazing opportunity to screw over all the elites they hate, and yet, there is almost no effort being made to do exactly that. You know why I don’t trust third parties?

Jill Stein ain’t working the streets. Nor is Cornell West. Nor are any of the other figures who pop up every four years. Third parties are scarce on the ground. They’re not canvassing broadly. They’re not lining up their candidates to form a bloc in Congress.
